Fort William Bike Shed, part of the Lochaber Environmental Group, is dedicated to making cycling accessible and promoting sustainable transportation in Fort William and the surrounding areas of Lochaber. The project revitalizes donated bicycles to their former glory, offering refurbished bikes for sale and lending through a convenient library system, including e-bikes and maintenance tools.

The Bike Shed also provides a range of services, from hands-on repair workshops to individual support with bicycle maintenance and riding confidence. Community engagement is central to their mission, as they collaborate with local schools, charities, and businesses to enhance active travel options.

With funding from organizations like the Highlands and Islands Regional Transport Partnership and Transport Scotland, the project operates on social enterprise principles, reinvesting income to further its reach and impact. Whether you're looking to buy a bike, borrow cycling equipment, or learn repair skills, the Fort William Bike Shed stands as a hub for cycling enthusiasts and newcomers alike, fostering a culture of reuse and community involvement.
