Loddefjord il ble stiftet i 1961 av 11 lokale ildsjeler som ønsket å tilrettelegge for gode oppvekstvilkår for barn og unge i en voksende bydel. Klubben har i dag et variert tilbud innen flere aktiviteter og alderstrinn.

About Loddefjord IL
Loddefjord IL is a sports club in Bergen, Norway, founded in 1961 by 11 enthusiastic individuals who wanted to provide positive opportunities for children and youth in a growing neighborhood. Today, the club offers a diverse range of activities for all ages. With a strong focus on volunteerism and community engagement, Loddefjord IL has become one of the largest sports clubs in Bergen.
The club offers various sports and activities, including basketball, cheerleading, football, athletics, frisbee golf, figure skating, skiing, and dance. There is also an idrettsskolen (sports school) for children to try out different sports and have fun. Loddefjord IL has a strong presence in the local community and has produced athletes who have excelled nationally and internationally.
The club boasts excellent training facilities, including the beautiful Alvøen Idrettspark, which has been made possible through partnerships with supportive landowners. Loddefjord IL welcomes new members and supporters. They encourage everyone to join and contribute by registering for the Grasrotandelen program, where a portion of their gaming bets goes towards supporting the club's activities
