Loďoškola is a boating school that helps aspiring captains learn to handle small craft and prepare for the Czech licence for operators of small vessels (VMP). Its courses guide learners from their first experience at the helm through practical skills and theory preparation, with options for complete beginners and more experienced boaters. Training is designed to be calm, hands-on and accessible, with small groups, individual guidance and an emphasis on skills useful both for the exam and independent boating.
Learners can choose practical training on the water, an online theory course for VMP categories M and M20, or a combined package. The school also offers confidence-building practice rides, a five-hour “captain for a day” experience, and an introduction to operating a small motorboat. Gift vouchers are available for courses and boating experiences. Practical lessons take place on the Vltava River in Skochovice, near Prague. Instruction is led by experienced captain Martin, while coordinator Kačka supports course organisation and online learning.
