LofarZone is an information and outreach initiative focused on the LOFAR radio telescope and the landscape around Exloo and Buinen in the Netherlands. Its message, “More than astronomy alone,” reflects an interest in both scientific discovery and the area’s natural heritage. The site explains how LOFAR uses thousands of connected antennas to capture low-frequency radio waves from space, and shares news about the telescope’s European partnerships, research and upgrades. It highlights discoveries ranging from distant galaxies and radio clusters to pulsars, while introducing future research possibilities.

LofarZone also helps visitors experience the LOFAR area in person.
