Welcome to the General John A. Logan Museum, located in Murphysboro, IL. Our museum celebrates the remarkable life of General John A.
Logan, as well as the brave individuals who fought alongside him to preserve our nation and secure freedom for those in bondage. Immerse yourself in a rich cultural experience as you explore Logan's life and legacy through our educational and cultural programs. Discover the impact of the Civil War on southern Illinois in our fascinating exhibition, Caught in the Sweep of History.
This four-part series delves into the war's reputation, politics, and racial views, presenting first-hand accounts from soldiers and their families during those trying times. At the General John A. Logan Museum, we aim to provide a captivating and informative experience for our visitors.
Come and support us by visiting Tuesday to Friday from 10 am to 4 pm, and on Saturdays from 1 pm to 4 pm. Our suggested donation policy is $2. 00 per adult and $1.
00 per child, ensuring that everyone can enjoy our exhibits. Don't forget, we also offer group tours upon request. Join us as we honor the sacrifices made during the Civil War and commemorate General John A.
