About Logbook Financial Planning
Logbook is an independent, fee-only financial life planning firm founded in 2017 by Chris Cortese, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and former U.S. Air Force pilot and State Department Foreign Service Officer. Based in coastal Maine and serving clients globally, the firm focuses on helping people who serve in the federal government and military. Its guidance draws on Cortese’s more than 25 years of public service and firsthand experience with government careers, employee benefits, and retirement systems.
Logbook’s services are designed to help clients make informed decisions across their financial lives. Partnered Planning combines ongoing financial life planning with investment management and covers areas such as cash flow, retirement projections, Social Security, TSP and other retirement accounts, taxes, insurance, education funding, and financial aid. The firm also describes a short-term Core Plan for comprehensive planning and a two-hour Strategy Session focused on topics such as budgeting, cash flow, and investing; these services are currently listed as unavailable.
