Lokai Rose

Lokai Rose is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit exotic animal rescue in northern New Jersey, founded by a family of five women committed to supporting wildlife, the environment, and their community. The organization provides care for abandoned, surrendered, and medically distressed exotic pets, including snakes, lizards, tarantulas, and frogs. Through an adoption program, Lokai Rose works to place rescued animals in suitable permanent homes and encourages responsible pet ownership.

Education is central to its mission. Lokai Rose offers respectful wildlife encounters and nature-focused learning for children, families, schools, and community groups. Its services include outdoor summer camps, family activities, special events, scout programs, and K–12 school enrichment aligned with state education standards. Camp offerings explore topics such as insects, art and nature, wildlife, waterways, and scientific discovery, with activities designed for different age groups. The organization also provides backyard adventures and other educational programs that help participants learn about animals and the natural world.
