About Lokal
Lokal is a Helsinki-based concept gallery that showcases local artwork and unique design. Founded in 2012 by Katja Hagelstam, Lokal was created to address the lack of representation given to emerging local artists, particularly those working at the intersection of fine art and craftsmanship. At Lokal, we strive to appreciate timeless beauty, nurture real community, and reflect the harmony of nature.
Our curated group and solo exhibitions feature a diverse range of works by local artists, visionaries, makers, and masters. You can explore these exhibitions at our gallery in the Punavuori district of downtown Helsinki or on our Online Gallery. Additionally, our Annankatu gallery offers a selection of exclusive home items crafted from all-natural materials by local artisans.
