Lokomotiv Hydra is a volleyball club based in Sneek, Friesland, founded in 2020 by friends who wanted to build their own team and bring their group back together. Its roots date to a tournament in Assen in 2014, after which players from Sneek, Harlingen, Leeuwarden and Balk continued playing together. Many later shared the court at VC Sneek, but as the group changed, the idea of forming an independent club became a reality. In its first season, Lokomotiv Hydra competed in the promotion class, with match schedules and results available through the club’s website.

The club presents its players and team positions, including setters, hitters, blockers and a libero, and invites supporters to attend matches at Sneker Sporthal in Sneek. Its online shop offers Lokomotiv Hydra merchandise, while the club also welcomes sponsors and supporters. A “Friend of Lokomotiv Hydra” contribution includes an exclusive supporter scarf and VIP-stand access. The site provides contact details for enquiries and encourages visitors to get in touch or come along to a game.
