Lomikámen

Lomikamen is an organization supporting people affected by mental illness and their families through social and health services, practical guidance, and opportunities for connection. Its Center for Mental Health offers timely, comprehensive support for everyday life. The Re-start social rehabilitation service helps clients build independence through consultations, accompaniment, social-skills practice, assistance communicating with public offices, and cooperation with family members.

Through Byd-Lo supported housing, Lomikamen helps residents practise living independently, including managing a household, handling housing-related administration, and planning finances. The organization also provides free, informal advice to people seeking answers about mental illness, disability pensions, or social benefits. Support groups offer a welcoming space for people with personal or family experience of mental illness to share experiences and find inspiration.

Lomikamen also runs Jiná káva, a training café serving vegetarian food and hosting cultural activities. The café provides workplace training for people who want to strengthen and develop their employment skills. Together, these services combine practical assistance, peer support, and opportunities to build greater confidence and independence.
