London Santa Claus Parade

The London Santa Claus Parade is an independent, community-supported holiday tradition that has brought festive cheer to London, Ontario, and the surrounding region since 1956. Organized by a dedicated volunteer committee, the annual event brings together local businesses, community organizations, sponsors, performers, and residents to welcome Santa and celebrate the season. Its parade features floats, marching bands, dancers, and other local entries, creating a family-friendly experience along Dundas Street.

The parade offers several ways to take part. Participants can apply to enter a float or other presentation, while community members can volunteer or support the event through sponsorship. Visitors can watch in person along the three-kilometre route or enjoy the official online live stream, hosted by Jess Brady. The committee also works with sponsors and supporters to fund the costs of organizing and presenting the celebration, including policing and live-stream production. The parade is not run by the City of London; it relies on community generosity to continue this longstanding tradition and create holiday memories for families.
