About London Sculpture Workshop
London Sculpture Workshop (LSW) is a not-for-profit CIC and artist-led maker space, established in 2012 as an open-access sculpture workshop with a short course program. Founded by graduates from prestigious institutions such as The Royal College of Art and The Slade School of Fine Art, LSW aims to provide accessible, inclusive, and affordable high-quality facilities for makers in the field of 3D art. LSW offers a well-equipped metal and wood workshop, along with dedicated areas for mold-making and hot-metal working.
Users have access to a wide range of power tools, hand tools, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The workshop operates on a pay-as-you-go Open-Access Membership scheme, available most Thursdays and Fridays throughout the year. Additionally, LSW provides a diverse range of short courses taught by experienced tutors who are both practicing artists and educators.
The workshop's work has been recognized with awards and funding from esteemed organizations such as Arts Council, Crafts Council, and Mayor of London. LSW also offers bespoke 1-1 training, professional development programs, and outreach education projects for schools, communities, and arts groups. Moreover, they provide a fabrication service for artists and art organizations.
