The Lonely Hearts Foundation

The Lonely Hearts Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization focused on helping people struggling with substance abuse. Founded by someone whose own path to recovery began with inpatient treatment, the organization was created to extend access to treatment to people who may not otherwise be able to afford it. Its mission is to help individuals regain sobriety by reducing financial barriers and allowing them to concentrate on recovery.

The foundation raises money to fund both inpatient and outpatient treatment. It also provides financial assistance to help people in treatment continue meeting their obligations at home, so that financial pressure does not force them to end care prematurely.
