Longhope Farm, also known as Preecemore Farm, is a 170-acre farm set in the rolling countryside of Gloucestershire. Its land includes orchards, ancient woodland and a brook, with no fields bordering busy roads. The farm combines livestock rearing with the production of forage for its own animals and for sale to the equine trade.
Longhope Farm grows silage, haylage, wrapped hay and premium timothy hay developed specifically for horses. The farm aims to maintain high standards for its equine forage: crops that are not suitable for horses are used to feed its cattle, so nothing is wasted. Depending on the season and growing conditions, the team may also produce a second cut of forage.
The farm plans to rear beef cattle in rotation and is FABBL approved. Visitors may have the opportunity, at certain times of year, to help feed the beef animals. Longhope Farm is associated with Longhope Livery and is based on School Lane in Longhope, Gloucestershire.
