Longhouse Submission Grappling is a veteran-owned jiu jitsu and Brazilian jiu jitsu academy in Grand Blanc, Michigan, founded in 2024. Serving students from Grand Blanc and nearby communities, the academy welcomes beginners and experienced grapplers to a culture centered on discipline, camaraderie, and ongoing self-improvement. Its programs include adult no-gi submission grappling, gi jiu jitsu, fundamentals and advanced classes, competition training, supervised open rolling, and age-appropriate jiu jitsu and no-gi classes for children.
Kids’ instruction emphasizes safety, confidence, fitness, character development, and anti-bullying skills. Classes are offered throughout the week, with morning, midday, evening, and weekend sessions. Longhouse has three black belt instructors with more than 50 years of combined experience.
The facility features over 2,000 square feet of mat space, a dry sauna, showers, lockers, a pro shop, and areas for weights and snacks. New students can arrange a free trial class; loaner gis are available for trial participants. Longhouse serves surrounding communities including Fenton, Holly, Goodrich, Clarkston, Burton, Linden, and Ortonville
