About The Long Island Conservation Alliance
The Long Island Conservancy is a young organization founded by passionate environmentalists with decades of experience in environmental education and community engagement on Long Island. In 2022, we accomplished planting native trees at Meadow Croft and have established a strong network of environmental experts, policymakers, and civic leaders. Our focus in 2023 has been on hosting podcasts, streams, and public discussions emphasizing the importance of habitat restoration across Long Island.
We are seeking civic leaders and environmental scientists to join our cause in rebuilding habitat in Nassau and Suffolk County. Our Executive Director and Co-Founder, Marshall Brown, champions sustainability and habitat restoration, emphasizing the urgency of repairing nature, including water treatment practices. Co-Founder and Board Member Frank Piccininni, a biologist and environmental attorney, leads in habitat restoration efforts.
Board Member Dr. Hildur Palsdottir, a certified meditation instructor and climate activist, contributes significantly to environmental education and ecosystem restoration initiatives. Join us in creating a better future for nature and the community on Long Island
