The Longleaf Alliance is the organization behind the Biennial Longleaf Conference, a regional gathering dedicated to the restoration and conservation of the longleaf pine ecosystem across the southeastern United States. The conference is described as the largest and longest-running event of its kind, bringing together people and organizations working to support longleaf forests. It welcomes private landowners, land managers, wildlife biologists, conservation groups, students, researchers, forestry professionals, consultants, and agency and outreach personnel.
Attendees can learn and share through keynote addresses, concurrent presentations, poster sessions, field tours, and networking events. The conference also provides opportunities for nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and commercial vendors to exhibit. By connecting participants and partner organizations, including the Longleaf Partnership Council of America’s Longleaf Restoration Initiative, the event serves as a forum for collaboration and a celebration of longleaf conservation.
The conference moves among locations throughout the longleaf range, reflecting its nine-state geography. The 16th Biennial Longleaf Conference is scheduled for October 27–30, 2026, in Williamsburg, Virginia
