LookSome is a file-sharing service built around a simple idea: let recipients preview a file in their browser before deciding whether to download it. It supports images, video, PDFs, and text, with video playback available without a separate plugin or an initial download. The service is designed for controlled, temporary sharing: senders can set how long a link remains active and, on applicable plans, limit the number of times it can be opened or downloaded. Links expire when their time or usage limit is reached, and files are not publicly listed.

Users upload a file, choose its sharing terms, and send the generated link. LookSome offers a free Beginner plan with up to 10 GB per file and three active links, as well as paid Pro and Enterprise plans with larger file limits and additional controls. Features on higher tiers include password-protected links, custom retention, SSO/SAML, audit logs, and priority support with an SLA. LookSome states that files are encrypted at rest and data is encrypted in transit.
