LONU

Loopgroep Nuenen (LONU) is a recreational running club based at Wettenseind 28 in Nuenen, Netherlands. Founded in 1993, the club welcomes beginners, experienced runners and competitors, with an emphasis on enjoying running and building social connections. Qualified trainers guide groups of different abilities and distances, including runners preparing for a half marathon, marathon or ultra-trail.

LONU holds regular training sessions on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 7:15 p.m., starting from the clubhouse, and on Saturday mornings at 9:00 a.m. from changing locations. Sessions begin with a group warm-up before runners head out with their trainers. New participants can join a few runs free of charge and meet a trainer at the clubhouse to get started.

For people new to running, LONU offers a yearly beginners’ programme, including a 12-week starters’ group with guided training. The club also hosts sporting and social events, including the annual Van Gogh Loop, and shares news and activities through its calendar.
