Loopgroep Oegstgeest is a community sports association for people who want to run or walk together in and around Oegstgeest. It welcomes participants at different experience levels, with a beginner running course and a range of training groups supported by published schedules and training plans. Prospective members can find information about trying the club before joining, while current members have access to a login area, forum, and practical club updates.
Alongside regular running sessions, the association has a walking group and organizes special outings, including trail runs in nearby areas. Members can also prepare for events such as the Leiden Half Marathon through a dedicated training program. The club shares race results, training news, and reports from walks and competitions, helping members stay informed and celebrate each other’s progress. Its activities include both structured training and social opportunities to enjoy exercise together. Loopgroep Oegstgeest also helps organize the Nieuwjaarsloop as part of the Zorg en Zekerheid Circuit, in collaboration with Leiden Atletiek and Currimus.
