Loretto Hospital

Loretto Hospital is a not-for-profit, acute care community hospital serving Chicago’s Austin neighborhood and surrounding communities. Since 1923, it has provided patient-centered healthcare, serving more than 22,000 patients each year and emphasizing wellness, education, and community needs. Its broad range of services includes emergency and critical care, general medicine, medical and surgical care, behavioral health, cancer screenings, diabetes care, and heart and vascular health.

Patients can also access dental, eye, hearing, orthopedic and podiatry services, as well as pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, pulmonary care, and physical, occupational, and speech therapy. The hospital offers women’s wellness services, senior and social services, nutritional support, and transportation for patients. Loretto also supports the community through initiatives such as free mammograms for Austin and nearby communities and a community cupboard addressing food insecurity.

In addition to clinical care, the hospital provides medical education, clinical rotations, internships, and a psychiatry residency program.
