About Lorha Nakambe Consulting
Lorha Nakambe Consulting, established in 2020, is dedicated to addressing the underfunding of feminist movements and promoting innovative approaches to social change. Research from AWID has revealed the dismal allocation of less than 1% of funding for gender equality to feminist movements and Women's Rights Organizations (WROs). The Black Feminist Fund further highlighted the racial and gender disparities in global foundation giving, with only 0.
1% - 0. 35% directed towards Black women, girls, and trans individuals. Lorha Nakambe collaborates with dreamers, activists, scholars, and feminist philanthropies to foster a just feminist funding ecosystem.
Led by Founder and Executive Dreamer, Iris Nxumalo-De Smidt, a seasoned feminist system innovator, the brand offers transformative consulting services, working closely with philanthropic organizations, feminist movements, and social justice entities to cultivate healing justice, connection, and abundant resources for intersectional feminist movements.
