Lorient Athlétisme Club

Lorient Athlétisme Club (LAC) is an athletics section of APLO, established in September 2018 and based in Lorient, France. In seven years, the club has grown to more than 400 licensed members, reflecting its active community and range of training opportunities. Qualified coaches lead sessions across track and field disciplines, including running, jumping and throwing, as well as trail running, Nordic walking and athletics for young children. The club also supports participation through seasonal registration and licenses, and offers a shop featuring various club items.

LAC organizes sporting events, including the Nordique de Lorient and the Meeting du LAC/APLO, and shares competition information, results, records, photos and videos on its website. Its activities are supported by French Athletics Federation labels: Silver for track and fitness/health, and Bronze for running and athletic education. For the 2026–2027 season, the club lists dedicated athletics and Baby-athlé sessions for children, though these are currently full. Based in the Bois du Château area, LAC also publishes club news and press coverage and welcomes partnership inquiries.
