Lost Adventures is a travel agency founded by Mikkel Legarth from Denmark, with the mission of providing immersive and unforgettable wilderness experiences that connect travelers with Africa's natural beauty and diverse cultures while also supporting wildlife conservation efforts. Mikkel's commitment to wildlife conservation began during a 9-month placement at a wildlife volunteer project in Namibia, where he developed a bond with a leopard named Lost. This experience inspired him to shift his career path from becoming a commercial pilot to supporting wildlife.

In 2010, Mikkel co-founded the Modisa Wildlife Project in Botswana, which aimed to promote and support the country's wildlife while mitigating conflicts between humans and animals. The project gained international attention after featuring Sirga, a lioness and member of the Modisa family, in a Daily Mail front-page story. This led to Mikkel's TEDx Talk and the creation of the award-winning series Saving Sirga: Journey into the Heart of a Lion.

In 2018, Lost Adventures was founded to continue Mikkel's wildlife conservation efforts and share the love for the African continent with others. With a range of volunteer projects and wildlife photography opportunities, Lost Adventures offers tailored safaris, family adventures, and wildlife guide courses in Botswana's wilderness destinations.
