LOTO-eng

Loto-Eng is an Italian engineering company specializing in equipment and technologies for high-pressure research. Drawing on long experience with diamond anvil cells (DACs), the company supplies instruments and components that help researchers study the physical and structural properties of materials. Its product range includes DAC cells, microscopes, gaskets and gauges, spark eroders, confining media, pressure and temperature devices, detectors, ruby pressure-measurement lines, and tools and spare parts. Loto-Eng also offers equipment for preparing gaskets, including an indenter designed to support sample preparation and reduce the risk of overstressing diamonds.

The company’s solutions address key aspects of high-pressure experiments, from applying pressure and controlling temperature to measuring pressure through ruby luminescence. Its website provides product information, technical articles and access to service and web support, while inviting researchers to discuss their requirements and seek suitable solutions. Loto-Eng also describes experience developing microwave radiometers for calibration activities associated with the Soil Moisture and Ocean Salinity mission, including instruments intended to operate in severe weather conditions.
