The Louisiana Chess Association (LCA) supports chess players and communities across Louisiana, serving the state since 1915. It brings together players of different ages and experience levels through tournaments, affiliated clubs, and scholastic chess programs. With more than 25 clubs and over 300 members, the association offers ways to find local chess communities, follow events, and connect with players throughout the Pelican State.

LCA membership supports chess in Louisiana and includes benefits such as discounted tournament entry, an official membership profile, and access to events across the state. Players can explore tournament information, locate clubs, and join or renew membership through the association’s website. The site also provides chess news, information about state champions, and a scoresheet scanner, alongside resources on governance, including board members, bylaws and rules, and meeting minutes. By combining competitive opportunities, scholastic programs, club connections, and member services, the Louisiana Chess Association helps make chess accessible and active across generations throughout the state.
