Louis Schlumberger - Visual Artist. They emerge on the canvas as swirls of colour, dark spots, sharpedged elevations, pale shadows, hints of hidden facial features. Hidden and yet visible, they lead a life of their own between the layers of the paintings, waiting to be recognised and brought to life by the gaze of the viewer: Everything is interconnected, nothing exists in a vacuum.
