Love is Love Cooperative Farm is a worker-owned cooperative farm that aims to provide certified organic food, plants, and flowers to wholesale markets and direct consumers. Founded by Demetrius Milling, Monica Ponce, Russell Honderd, Judith Winfrey, and Joe Reynolds, this unique collective of first-generation farmers believes in the power of working together. Their ownership structure is democratic and non-hierarchical, drawing inspiration from the cooperative movements of African American farmers since the civil war, Indigenous American cultures, and exploited laborers.
With a focus on resilience, equity, transparency, and integrity, Love is Love Cooperative Farm strives to build a structure that will serve their local food system for generations to come. They offer various ways to support their vision, including tax-deductible donations through their partnership with Foodwell Alliance and volunteer opportunities to help set up their new farm. Additionally, Love is Love Cooperative Farm offers merchandise, such as gift cards and t-shirts, which can be purchased on their website.
