Love-L Ranch

Love-L Ranch is a family ranch in the rolling hills near Melissa and northeast of McKinney, Texas, dedicated to the Morgan horse and Golden Retriever. The ranch breeds, raises, and trains both animals, and invites visitors to explore its website to learn about the animals and the property. The Love-L brand began in 1988 on a 250-acre ranch in central Texas.

After moving first to Sachse in 1996, the ranch settled at its current location in 1999, on more than 90 acres of farmland. Alongside its horse and dog activities, Love-L Ranch leases land for cattle and grows hay for its horses and for sale, including WorldFeeder Bermuda square bales; interested buyers can contact the ranch for information. The ranch also presents Horsemanship Journey: A Glimpse of My Journey, a book by Peter Loveall about developing a more thoughtful, collaborative relationship with horses.

Drawing on lessons from modern clinicians influenced by Tom Dorrance, Bill Dorrance, and Ray Hunt, the book shares Loveall’s personal perspective rather than serving as a how-to manual
