Lovely Living AFH

Lovely Living Adult Family Home (AFH) is a nurse practitioner-owned and operated care home in Des Moines, Washington, serving individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health needs. Founded in 2012 by Melissa Pearson, an ARNP, PMHNP, and DNP with mental health and developmental disabilities certifications, the home provides an all-female resident and caregiving environment. Its mission is to create a comfortable home that supports individuality, independence, and a fulfilling life.

Care is tailored to each person’s spiritual, social, mental, and medical needs. Services include assistance with meals, eating, dressing, hygiene, bathing, and toileting, as well as medication assistance and administration, pharmacy delivery, nurse delegation, and home doctor services. Specialty support is available for developmental disabilities, mental illness, and behavioral needs. Lovely Living AFH offers private rooms and accepts Medicaid. The home is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Families and referral partners can contact the team to ask questions, discuss care, or arrange a tour.
