About La Plata Electric Association
LPEA, short for La Plata Electric Association, is a member-owned electric distribution cooperative focused on serving the communities of La Plata and Archuleta, along with parts of Hinsdale, Mineral, and San Juan counties. As the fifth largest cooperative in Colorado, LPEA prioritizes delivering safe and reliable electricity to over 34,200 members and powering more than 46,500 meters. LPEA offers a range of products and services designed to meet the needs of its members.
From easy bill payments and start/stop service options to competitive electric rates and billing scams protection, they ensure a hassle-free experience for all customers. Members can also benefit from various programs including Capital Credits, On-Bill Financing, Green Power, and Member Perks.
