About Legal Practitioners Indemnity Insurance Fund NPC
Lpiif, also known as the Legal Practitioners Indemnity Insurance Fund NPC, is a non-profit short-term insurance company. Established with the aim of protecting the integrity, assets, and status of legal professionals and the legal profession, Lpiif offers professional indemnity insurance for practitioners. Their insurance coverage safeguards practitioners and the public against indemnifiable losses arising from legal services provided by insured professionals.
Lpiif is funded through annual premiums paid by the Legal Practitioners Fidelity Fund (LPFF) on behalf of all practicing practitioners. Additionally, Lpiif provides executor bonds, fulfilling the security requirements for attorneys appointed as executors of deceased estates. The Lpiif board comprises directors from diverse educational and work backgrounds, including legal, insurance, finance, and general business.
