LPV Regensburg

The Landscape Management Association of Regensburg (Landschaftspflegeverband Regensburg e.V., or LPV) brings together nature conservation, agriculture and public policy to care for the region’s landscapes. The association works with landowners, farmers, authorities and other partners to put practical conservation measures into action and maintain valuable habitats across the local countryside. Its services include landscape management, support for conservation projects and guidance on measures suited to particular sites. Recent work includes restoring areas along the Great Laber river, protecting native stone crayfish with barriers, and using sheep grazing to keep species-rich grassland open.

The LPV also promotes products associated with landscape stewardship through its Juradistl initiative, featuring regional specialities such as lamb, pasture-raised beef, honey and pear brandy. Its environmental education activities and outdoor events help people of all ages learn about nature and the landscapes around them. The association shares project updates, news and event information, and invites individuals to become members or donate. Membership contributions and donations help cover the portion of landscape-care costs not met by public funding.
