The Landschaftspflegeverband Thüringer Wald e. V. is a regional landscape conservation association working to protect nature and support sustainable land management in the Thuringian Forest.

Its work focuses on valuable habitats such as mountain meadows and orchards, as well as endangered species and protected areas. The association advises land managers on conservation contracts and funding programmes, including KULAP and NALAP, and helps implement Natura 2000 management plans and other nature conservation projects. It also works with municipalities on measures connected with the European Water Framework Directive and manages threatened habitat types.

Through environmental education, it helps children and young people learn about local nature and biodiversity. The association coordinates projects across the region, including meadow conservation initiatives, and shares information about protected areas, species and ongoing work. Its website provides project resources, news and information about regional products, alongside ways to donate and support its activities.

The association is based in Friedrichshöhe, with an additional office in Gumpelstadt, and collaborates with regional and conservation partners
