LSC Forchheim

Luftsportclub Forchheim e. V. is a flying club based at Dobenreuth Airfield, bringing together people who share a passion for aviation.

With more than 70 years of experience, the club combines opportunities to fly with a welcoming community where members support one another, share knowledge and build friendships. Its activities include gliding, touring motor gliders and ultralight aircraft, with training available for people interested in learning to fly and pursuing a pilot’s licence. Visitors can also experience aviation firsthand through guest flights in the club’s aircraft.

For pilots, the club provides information and opportunities to take part in flying activities, including cross-country gliding, where pilots use thermal currents to cover long distances without an engine. The club also hosts events, including an annual airfield festival, where visitors can see aircraft and book rides, as well as enjoy food and refreshments. Whether someone hopes to begin flight training, take a scenic flight or connect with fellow aviation enthusiasts, Luftsportclub Forchheim offers a range of ways to get involved in the sport
