The Luxembourg Sustainable Finance Initiative (LSFI) is a not-for-profit association that designs and implements the Sustainable Finance Strategy for the Luxembourg financial centre. Our objective is to raise awareness, promote and help develop sustainable finance initiatives in Luxembourg. The LSFI was founded in January 2020 by the Government of Luxembourg represented by the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Environment, Climate and Sustainable Development (MECDD), Luxembourg for Finance and the High Council for Sustainable Development (Conseil Supérieur du Développement Durable).

About Luxembourg Sustainable Finance Initiative
LSFI, the Luxembourg Sustainable Finance Initiative, is a not-for-profit association dedicated to designing and implementing the Luxembourg Sustainable Finance Strategy. Our primary goal is to raise awareness, promote, and help develop sustainable finance initiatives in Luxembourg. We believe in investment decisions that not only consider the financial return on investment and risk management but also prioritize sustainability criteria.
These criteria, often referred to as environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria, are essential for integrating sustainability into the financial sector. For financial professionals, we offer a range of resources and training to support them in staying up to date on EU sustainable finance regulations. Our working groups conduct in-depth analysis and provide insights on sustainable finance education and training.
