LSG Schäferstuhl

Luftsportgemeinschaft Schäferstuhl e. V. (LSG Schäferstuhl) is an aviation club based at Schäferstuhl Airfield (EDVJ) in Salzgitter, Germany. The club welcomes people interested in flying and offers opportunities to experience and learn the sport. Its activities include gliding and motor flying, with flight training for aspiring pilots and information about the training process and costs. Visitors can also arrange sightseeing flights and explore introductory options such as the club’s “Pilot for a Weekend” experience.

Scheduled for weekends from April 18 to September 19, 2026, this introductory event gives participants an opportunity to join the flying operation and take the pilot’s seat for five winch launches. It is intended for people curious about piloting, considering gliding lessons, or simply enthusiastic about aviation, and is also available as a gift voucher. LSG Schäferstuhl shares club news, events, aircraft and flying updates, and provides activities including a youth group and model flying. Its website also offers practical details, registration information, frequently asked questions, documents, and local weather resources.
