LSV PAF

Luftsportverein Pfaffenhofen e.V. (LSV Pfaffenhofen) is a community aviation club dedicated to promoting gliding in the Hallertau region of Bavaria. Based at the Hallertau airfield near Auhöfe and Königsfeld, between Pfaffenhofen and Geisenfeld, the club welcomes visitors and offers passenger flights when weather permits. Members can use a fleet of gliders across different performance classes, along with a motor glider and an ultralight aircraft. The fleet includes two-seat aircraft for training and cross-country flying, as well as single-seat gliders for pilots progressing to independent and longer flights.

The club provides training for a glider pilot licence and, for members, opportunities to earn motor glider ratings and ultralight licences. Flying generally takes place on weekends and public holidays, with the main season running from April through October. Alongside recreational and instructional flying, LSV Pfaffenhofen supports the Bavarian air rescue service by conducting patrols on designated routes to help monitor forests when wildfire danger is high.
