Luftsportverein Bonn-Rhein-Sieg e.V. is a gliding club based at Bonn-Hangelar airfield, bringing together around 100 members who share an interest in flying and aviation. The club operates eight gliders and flies on weekends and public holidays, offering members opportunities to take part in the sport and build their flying skills.

Prospective pilots can learn to glide through instruction in a two-seat aircraft with the club’s volunteer flight instructors. Training may begin from age 14, subject to meeting the required health conditions. For people who want to explore the experience before committing, the club offers individual introductory courses, providing a chance to see how gliding and club life work in practice.

The organization also shares information about its activities, history, youth group, aircraft, fees and flying events through its website. Visitors interested in learning more can visit the club at Hangelar or contact it using the website’s contact form. Its online presence also includes photographs, videos and social media links that offer further insight into the club community.
