EDHS Luftsportverein Günther Groenhoff e.V. is an aviation club based at Stade-Ottenbeck, near Hamburg. For more than 70 years, its members have shared a passion for flight, and the club now brings together over 300 people. Its activities include powered flying, gliding and model aviation, with training and opportunities for guest flights.
As a registered training organisation, the club offers instruction for the PPL-A and LAPL powered-aircraft licences, as well as sailplane pilot training leading to the SPL. Lessons combine theory and practical flying at Stade airfield, supported by volunteer instructors and a fleet that includes Aquila and Cessna aircraft, gliders and motor gliders. Visitors can contact the club to arrange a flight and experience the local area from above.
The club also provides information for visiting pilots, including landing arrangements, fees and prior-permission requirements, and offers bicycle hire by arrangement. Its website additionally directs visitors interested in tandem skydiving to an external provider.
