Lake Tahoe Community College (LTCC) is California's premier destination community college, ranked #20 in the entire country. This bi-state Promise program is available to California and Nevada residents living within the Tahoe Basin, including Dreamers. The college offers a wide range of academic programs, including associate degrees, associate degrees for transfer, certificates of achievement, and employable skills certificates. LTCC also hosts the Lisa Maloff University Center, providing access to advanced degree programs through its university center partners.

In addition to academic programs, LTCC offers career and technical education, such as the Intensive Spanish Summer Institute, Lake Tahoe Basin Fire Academy, and a new Forestry program launching in Fall 2022. The college is also seeking funding for the construction of the Lake Tahoe Basin Public Safety Training Center. For students with children, LTCC's campus is home to the Child Development Center, offering licensed child care for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years.
