Liikuntatieteellinen Seura ry (LTS) on vuonna 1933 perustettu liikuntatieteistä, -kulttuurista ja -politiikasta kiinnostuneiden henkilöiden ja yhteisöjen muodostama kansalaisjärjestö ja tiedeviestintäorganisaatio. Jäsenistömme muodostuu tällä hetkellä 1 100 henkilöjäsenestä ja 48 yhteisöjäsenestä. Olemme Tieteellisten seurain valtuuskunnan (TSV) jäsen.

About Liikuntatieteellinen Seura
Liikuntatieteellinen Seura ry (LTS) is a Finnish Society of Sport Sciences founded in 1933. It is a citizens' organization and a science communication organization made up of individuals and communities interested in sports science, culture, and policy. With a current membership of 980 individuals and 46 community members, LTS is a member of the Finnish Federation of Learned Societies (TSV).
The society offers a wide range of products and services to promote science communication in the field of sports. These include peer-reviewed research articles, a sports science journal, blogs, podcasts, and publications covering various topics such as fitness testing, social sciences in sports, and applied sports. LTS also organizes events including scientific seminars, conferences, and workshops.
Additionally, they provide resources and guidelines, expert working groups, and membership options for individuals and communities interested in the field. With a rich history spanning almost 90 years, LTS continues to be a leading organization in promoting and advancing sports sciences in Finland
