Lumbini Technological University was established by an Act of province Legislature on 2nd July 2022 AD ( 18th ashar , 2079 BS), to promote technical, environment, management, applied science and tourism education in the province at undergraduate degree level and above. Lumbini Technological University (LTU) is an university education English-speaking graduate and post graduate institution, focusing on engineering, IT, Agriculture, Forestry and Tourism science studies. LTU’s rigorous academic, research, and experiential outreach programs prepare graduates for professional success and leadership roles in Asia and beyond. The University has the mandate to set up centres of excellence in emerging technologies and for promoting training, research and development in these areas. The University has undertaken the task of training students to help in the development of skilled manpower in this sector in the country in general and in the state in particular. With this goal in mind, the university has planned to promote a number of courses in different streams in regular as well as continious education programmes. Founded in 2022, LTU offers the opportunity to study at an institution in Nepal which possesses a global reputation. Going forward, LTU will be stressing its global connections, injection of innovation into research and teaching, its relevance to industry, and its nurturing of entrepreneurship, while continuing to fulfill its social impact and capacity building role.
