About Lake Turkana Wind Power
Lake Turkana Wind Power (LTWP) is Africa's largest wind farm located in Marsabit County, Kenya. They harness the power of wind by utilizing 365 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 850kW, generating a total capacity of 53.964 MW. This is enough to supply 17% of the country's installed capacity, making LTWP a major contributor to Kenya's national grid.
By utilizing clean and renewable wind energy, LTWP is committed to combatting climate change and reducing carbon emissions. Their wind power technology provides a cleaner and more sustainable energy source compared to traditional methods that rely on burning coal or fossil fuels.
