Dr. Luis de la Puente is a bariatric surgeon based in Michoacán, offering surgical care for people seeking support with weight loss and related health concerns. Described on his website as the first bariatric surgeon in the state, he reports more than 10 years of experience and over 1,000 successful surgeries. His practice emphasizes personalized consultations and ongoing attention to patients before and after procedures.

Services include gastric sleeve, gastric bypass, Bariclip, and gastric balloon procedures, as well as anti-reflux surgery and appendectomy. The website explains that these options differ in how they affect stomach size, appetite, food intake, or reflux, and that suitability and costs are discussed during an assessment. Patients receive guidance on post-operative recovery and the gradual progression of their diet. Care is provided at Hospital Ángeles, which the practice describes as accessible and equipped with modern technology. Patient testimonials highlight communication, empathy, surgical care, and follow-up support. The practice invites prospective patients to schedule a consultation to discuss their needs and determine appropriate options.
