Clan Luksarnon APS is an Italian historical and cultural association founded in November 2018. Its name means “Clan of the Iron Wolves,” combining words in a declension of the Cisalpine language. The group recreates aspects of Celtic and Viking life, focusing on the Cisalpine Boii of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines around 200 BCE and a hypothetical, diverse Viking crew in Italy during the migrations of the ninth century.
Through public festivals, historical reenactments, and other events, Clan Luksarnon shares historical, folkloric, and cultural knowledge in an immersive setting. Members create historical camps and demonstrate everyday activities using experimental archaeology, helping visitors encounter these past societies through practical experiences. Its educational topics include Celtic nature lore, herbalism and medicine, forging and metallurgy, pottery made with the coil-building technique, ritual cosmetics and makeup, Viking cooking, and spinning, dyeing, and weaving.
The association also publishes news and articles and welcomes visitors at public reenactments, with visits to private events available by invitation.
