Lulebygdens

Lulebygdens Forskarförening is a nonprofit association dedicated to genealogy and local history research. Based in the Luleå region of Sweden, it supports people interested in tracing family histories and learning more about the area’s past. The association provides access to a research room containing materials for members and other researchers, and its activities include courses in genealogy, including instruction for those continuing beyond the introductory level.

Members can take part in member and annual meetings and receive information about the association’s work through its member magazine and website. The site also provides practical details such as opening hours, directions and parking, along with information about membership and how to update contact details. The association offers historical material for sale, including a publication on Altappen and Sunderbyn covering the years 1539–1721.

It also shares news, information about past events, and details about its board, contact options and personal-data practices. Through these resources and activities, Lulebygdens Forskarförening helps foster research into family histories and the local community’s heritage
