LUMEL Technology Inc.

Lumel is a Canadian-focused clean-energy business developing building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) that replace conventional building materials with solar-generating glass. Its aim is to bring together renewable energy, architectural flexibility, and visual appeal, offering an alternative to the stark black or blue appearance often associated with solar panels. Lumel’s product uses high-transparency amorphous silicon photovoltaic glass, designed to blend with building designs and customized for different photovoltaic needs. The company says its technology can generate energy in overcast conditions and at high temperatures.

Lumel also offers an application that connects customers to their solar energy system. The software is designed to collect and present real-time quantitative information about harvested energy, sustainability, cost efficiency, and potential energy savings, alongside proactive maintenance alerts. This helps users monitor system performance and understand the benefits of their installation.

Through its BIPV technology and supporting software, Lumel serves those seeking to incorporate solar generation directly into buildings without treating it as a separate add-on.
