The Lupin Human Welfare & Research Foundation (LHWRF) is the corporate social responsibility arm of Lupin Limited, a global pharmaceutical company. Guided by a commitment to service and shared progress, the Foundation works to strengthen systems that help rural communities thrive. Its approach focuses on the connection between good health, stable incomes, and the dignity and opportunity of rural families.

LHWRF’s programmes address health and livelihoods. Through Desh Bandhu Jan Aarogya Sewa, it promotes early detection, community health awareness, trained frontline workers, and accessible care for chronic diseases. Its livelihood work, including Desh Bandhu Jan Utkarsh Pariyojana and the Utkarsh initiative, supports farmers, women, youth, and tribal communities through climate-resilient agriculture, water security, skills development, collectives, and sustainable enterprises.

Operating across eight Indian states, the Foundation reports work in 5,431 villages across 26 districts and says it has positively impacted 2.02 million families. It also partners with governments, companies, and development agencies to deliver rural health, agriculture, watershed, and skills programmes, while sharing community stories and programme resources.
