Lutador Open

Lutador Open is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) tournament platform in Costa Rica, bringing athletes, academies, and teams together through recurring competitions and an official ranking system. Events offer Gi and No-Gi divisions for children, juveniles, adults, and masters, with categories spanning beginner age groups through adult and masters competitors. Participants can find upcoming and past events, review results, and access registration and ticket links on the website; competition registration is handled through Smoothcomp.

Each medal contributes points to annual and historical rankings: gold earns nine points, silver three, and bronze one. Rankings recognize individual athletes, academies, and teams, with academy totals based on their athletes’ points and team standings grouping affiliated academies. The site also publishes rankings for the top athlete, academy, and team, alongside event statistics and a directory of participating academies. For spectators, online tickets are available through each event page. Lutador Open provides a central resource for competition information, results, standings, and participation in Costa Rican BJJ.
